All teachers at Cornerstone Academy believe this statement of faith to be true. Parents are required to sign this statement acknowledging our faith based instruction.
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in faith and conduct.
We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in the three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in God, the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son. We believe he was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We believe he lived a sinless life, teaching and performing miracles. We believe he died for our sins, was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and will visibly return to earth in power and glory to judge all mankind.
We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son. We believe that the Holy Spirit lives in every believer of Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher and guide, convicting mankind of sins and empowering all who believe in Jesus Christ.
We believe that all men are sinners and therefore need salvation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ alone as their Savior are saved. We believe that salvation is a free gift of God, entirely apart from works, and is possessed by all who have by faith received the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior.
