Recess Running Club provides students with another choice to get moving at recess! Students will run independently and track their own miles through a punch card system. They will work to achieve personal goals and will win prizes when those are reached. They will also work towards meeting a combined school goal for miles run. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to make the choice to run whenever they want to at recess, to set goals, and have fun doing it! Awards are presented each Thursday during morning assembly. Students achieve awards at these milestones: 10 miles, 25 miles, 50 miles, 75 miles and 100 miles. We are working towards a school goal of 500 miles run so we can enjoy a sweet treat together!
The recess running club has been moved the south parking lot in an effort to help mid day pick up run smoother. Afternoon carpool pick up will remain the same. Contact Kim Knudsen with questions.

Start Your Own!
We’re still looking for two more parent volunteers who would want to run a Lunch Recess Club on a Tuesday or a Wednesday. These clubs will run weekly and the time commitment is from 12:00-12:30pm. Some ideas for further clubs are: Chess Club, Writer’s Club, Artist’s Club, Knitting Club, Lego Robotics Club or an Athletic Club. You can, of course, suggest any other ideas you have as well! Contact Kim Knudsen if interested.
