Welcome To Cornerstone Academy
Christian | Classical |Community
These three commitments of Cornerstone Academy are embodied at three different campuses: Monroe, Snohomish & Woodinville.
We are an innovator in affordable classical education. We pride ourselves in offering a rigorous curriculum from a Christian worldview.
Cornerstone Academy challenges students to reach their intellectual, emotional and spiritual potential through academics that includes early immersion in foreign language, a strong foundation in reading and grammar, community service programs, and many other hands-on educational and social activities. The school’s focus on small class sizes allows for personal attention, increased retention, and a captivating learning environment. Our curriculum prepares students for AP and Honors classes when they reach upper grade levels.
Founded in 2007, the school serves students in five different school districts and seventeen churches. The school has two campuses, the Faith Campus is at the Church at Maltby’s Monroe Campus and the Restoration Campus is in downtown Snohomish at Restoration Road Church.
What We Offer
The Mission of our school
is to provide classical, Christian education that is parent supported, student centered, and powered by passionate educators.
Classical education instills a love of learning in children. The three phase process of instruction (called the Trivium) meets the child’s natural learning needs. Our educators train childrens’ minds with brain based learning strategies, allowing each student to be successful. Click here for more in depth-information on classical education or download our Guide to Classical Education.
All our teachers have a personal relationship with Christ. This translates into each class being taught from a Christian world view. Students learn to think and live in a way that is consistent with the Bible. To learn more about what makes a Christian school important to your child’s education First Things First. Read our statement of faith for more information.
The families at Cornerstone Academy have been drawn together by a common mission and together formulated Cornerstone Academy Parents (CAP). Throughout the year, there are special events like Family Nights, Parent University and more to connect families and support the learning community at Cornerstone Academy. We’d love for you to join our community.

How do I enroll?
What is the cost of tuition?
We realize that choosing private education for your children is a lifestyle commitment. We re-evaluate our tuition rates each year considering the impact they have on our community of families. We have committed 10% of our annual budget to fund scholarships. If you are in financial need, you can submit a scholarship application.
What is Classical Education?
Classical education is a philosophy of teaching that utilizes a child’s natural learning abilities. In the grammar school, children love repetition, singing, chanting and movement so these are used in all areas of learning. Once they move into the middle school, they challenge their earlier thinking by asking questions, getting to the root of knowledge and understanding the world they live in. Finally a student has been given knowledge, reconstructed that knowledge in their own understanding and now in the final phase of education they learn to present their knowledge and opinions eloquently and persuasively. In all levels, content is integrated to make every aspect of learning connected and meaningful.
My son started at Cornerstone when he was in preschool. Now as a 5th grader, we can see how much Cornerstone set him up for long term success. My heart felt thanks.Justin Springer
These last 2 years at Cornerstone have been wonderful for Grayson academically, socially and spiritually. I’ve seen him shift from just doing his school work to developing a “love for learning”.Stephanie Richter
